Septic Brain is an early-stage product made by Waveora, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Waveora," "we," or "us"). Waveora is responsible for the information described in this policy. This policy covers this website and the early trial: the monitoring device, the web app, the phone app, and the online service.

This website

What we collect from you here:

• Contact details and survey answers: your first name, email address or mobile number, ZIP code, and what you tell us about your septic system or business. The contact details are saved as soon as you submit them, even if you stop before the survey questions.
• Attribution data such as the ad or link that brought you here (UTM parameters, Google click ID) and the page you landed on.
• Usage and advertising measurement via Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), including pages viewed, buttons clicked, and whether a visit from an ad led to a sign-up. Google may set cookies for this purpose.
• A salted hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, used only to detect spam and duplicate submissions.

We use this to contact you about the trial program you asked about, by email, or by text message if you gave us a mobile number. We use it to understand which kinds of septic owners and professionals are interested, and what they want, and to measure whether our advertising is reaching the right people. We do not add you to marketing lists beyond the trial program you asked about.

Google receives the advertising and analytics data described above. Google does not receive device measurements from the trial.

The trial

If you join the trial, you also accept the trial participation agreement. If that agreement and this policy differ, the agreement controls.

While a trial device is connected, it sends us:

• electrical measurements (voltage, current, power, and related values)
• recorded voltage and current waveforms
• input states (such as alarm and float signals)
• other connected sensor readings
• device status (firmware version, Wi-Fi signal, errors)

We also keep what you tell us: your contact details, installation address, system details, photos you send us, and survey and check-in answers.

We use trial information to run the service and send you alerts, to support you, and to research and improve our products, including ways to detect equipment problems early.

We may use measurements and waveforms after removing your name, contact details, and exact address, for research, product development, and demonstrations. We will not present that material in a way that identifies you or your property unless you agree. A small number of trial sites can still be recognizable from the equipment pattern alone, so we treat that material as sensitive.

The device records how the equipment at the property runs. That can show when people are there. If you join, you confirm that you have authority to share this information and that you have told the other occupants.

If you connect the device to software on your own network (for example Home Assistant), data you send there is under your control. This policy does not cover it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We store it on our own servers. We share it with service providers only so they can help us run the site or the trial: our hosting provider, our email delivery service, Cloudflare (spam protection on the sign-up form, where enabled), and Google (website analytics and ad measurement, as described above). We also share trial information with people you choose, such as a maintenance provider, and when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep information while we need it to run the site and the trial, to support you, and to do the research described above. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your personal information. If you ask us to delete it, we will, except information we must keep for a legal duty. We may keep measurements and waveforms with your name, contact details, and exact address already removed. Disconnecting or returning the device stops it from sending anything new.

You can block analytics cookies with your browser or an extension without affecting the survey.

The trial is for people 18 or older. This site is not aimed at children.
